I was invited to join Andy and Jackson Dear to fish Lienweber the morning of Aug 1st. Due to recovering from shoulder surgery a year ago and COVID-19, we had not fished together for about a year. 

There was no real pattern and you only got one shot at catching them. Andy and Jackson had luck with Carolina rigs and I caught 2 of my 3 keepers in a shallow diving crank bait. 

I probably lost 3-4 and so did Andy and Jackson. 

I did have some early action along the dam on top water. A hard lesson learned was to check braided line as I had a nice bass along the dam, but I snapped the line on the hook set. 

Looking forward to more trips with Andy and Jackson.
