Lures Used : Fly fishing - poppers and clousers
Fished early and late with my son. Threw poppers and clouser minnows with the fly rods. One eat but lost the fish and one other bite in the morning, both on poppers. Nothing in the evening.

I tried surface baits of all kinds on 8/5/0 and nothing worked. The only action I got was trolling the deep end (near the boat launch area with a small mr. twister. I caught six fish, including a monster largemouth. It's too hot for surface baits. The fish are not coming up to get them for the most part. See the picture below for the jig I caught all the fish on.
