With temps in the mid 50's and wind blowing 15-20 all day, it was a chilly day at Lake TCU.  We did somehow escape the rain in the forecast.  Stayed dry all day!  With recent heavy rains, the lake water visibility was very low and the bite was only when you dropped the bait on the fishes nose or if using a really noisy bait.  My fishing partner and I finished up with 21 fish.  Most were 2-1/2 to 3 lbs with a  couple 4 pounders.  Like other TCU trips, most of the fish were quality fish and fighters.  Caught almost 1/2 of the fish on a large black Buzz Bait.  Fished from sun up to about 3:30PM.  Most fish were tight to the bank.  Fished the humps (islands) quite a bit and never got a bite around any of them.  Still a great day of fishing and even though it felt cold most of the day, it was a welcomed change over normal early September hot weather!
