My First Time On Black Hat, But this lake could quickly become a solid favorite.
Started off cool at 44 with a very light breeze, water temp 63 to 68.
1 To 11 Feet
Hit the water right at sunrise and for the first 45 minutes I thought the cold front may have
slowed the fish down, but then it kicked off around the grass mounds in about 3 to 6 feet depth..
Started getting interest on the zoom lizard, caught back to back 3lb's on grass edge near island
then headed to 2 grass areas about 100 yards from island added 2 more..
At one point I was reeling in and ay the side of the boat a very nice fish came after it "Missed Him"
Threw A Couple Times but missed my opportunity ( But Wait) moved on to several other area's plotting my return
to that grassy spot.
I returned about an hour after that miss,  threw in and Wham ! ! ! Got That Big One  5 1/4 LB's
At least I'm Telling myself that was the same fish I missed earlier.
The Bite Stayed Pretty Solid With A Few Slow periods From Just After Sun Up Till Dark.
All In All This Is A Beautiful Piece Of Property Well Kept & Clean
The Lake And Fishing Will Be A Great Time For All Members.
