Got to Boren lake around 3pm and fished until around 8 and had a pretty successful day! We caught 12 in the 1-2 pound range that we culled and only 1 that we returned that was right around 3 lbs. Most were caught before sunset, only 1 after, and primarily on chatterbait but caught one or two on a soft swimbait and on a Rat-L-Trap. Didn't fish much with worms although if I come back I'd work those in. My daughter caught a ton of bluegil as well right off the dock as well as a couple of the bass which she was super excited about. Met the landowner and he was awesome, helped us with his boat which was very useful already equipped with a trolling motor and even brought my daughter some corn to fish for bluegill with. Beautiful property and would definitely go back!
