Fished JeMar on Sat 2/6, got to the lake around 7:45 and was greeted by the lucky ducks and flocks of geese that survived the 20-21 waterfowl season, as an avid duck hunter this was a treat all in itself, but then started to grind out fishing. It was an overvcast morining and the high was around 48 and after about 2 hrs of trying multiple lures I ended picking up the drop shot rig which produced some fish. I tended to focus on areas on the north side of the lake that were protected from the wind(at this time it was coming in from the S.). Once I keyed in on the cadence they wanted I caught several more in a decent successon. However, once the wind died down and a strong north wind came in that was all she wrote. The bites stopped instantaneously and the water got fairly choppy. During a day like that you take what you can get! Managed to catch 7 decent sized fish, all over 16”. Had a great time enjoying the outdoors!
