Fished with my friend and partner yesterday afternoon and it was a rough day to say the least.  Sustained winds over 20 produced whitecaps on the lake so managing the boat was extremely difficult.   Started with soft plastics out around the tree stickups.  Also tried spinner baits and crankbaits to no avail.  Although I got a couple of bites I couldn’t hook up.  My partner Bill Lee fished motor oil worms with chartruese tails and managed 4 fish, however one of them weighed in at 7 lbs. 6 ounces.  A beautiful fish and his largest bass ever.  The water is WAY down here.  I’d estimate it down 12 ft minimum making boat launch difficult.  n years passed I caught a lot of bass along the row of bushes near the top edge of the damn.  What’s left of them now are high and dry.  Hopefully our next trip there will be a calmer day.  Towards the end of the day we moved to the shoreline to see if the fish had moved up but it’s just too shallow now and it produced no fish.  Next time………..
