Arrived at this beautiful property at dawn and fished all day. Looked for but couldn’t locate the big ones. Tried a full spectrum of lures/techniques (including large glides and swimbaits) but only two lures produced. The majority of the young males were caught on weightless super flukes (any color worked) and the occasional strike on a craw colored sq bill and/or lipless crank.

All the fish were either adjacent to the bank by the dam and the point across from the cabin, or near the bank up in the shallow creek arms. I fished the deeper water channels and area adjacent to the dam off and on throught the day, with no strikes. I also looked for but failed to find any beds in the shallows.

Hope to get back to give this place another shot in a few weeks.

Lake is full, water clear to 4ft, water temp 66-67F with areas of submerged grass present and no significant algae.
