Fished with my fishing buddy that I’ve know since high school (Hillcrest).  Got on the lake at 7:45 to completely flat water and cloudy skies. Water temp started at 67 and got to 68 with very clear water. It was cloudy with a little wind most of the morning and the fish we’re cooperative. They hit chase baits like the flat-sided crank and chatterbait hard but with the soft palstics they were very gentle – not even a tap tap, most of the time you just saw your line moving. Caught all but a handfull in the morning and then they shut down for the afternoon when the sun started coming out more and more. Guest caught an 8 in the shallows (NE corner) in a foot of water a foot from the shoreline and a 5.3. My largest was 5.8 but I got him on numbers catching 33. There are beds everywhere but didn’t see any large females on them.
