Toad
I fished this property from 9AM until 4PM.
Air temp: 76-102
water temp: 85
clarity: 2 ft
Boat ramp still usable
I caught two under 14” on a large, deep diving tiger-pattern crank bait almost immediately. They were suspended at 8-10 ft in 15-18 feet of water. Nothing until 1:30 PM when I landed the largest fish I have caught with Private Water on a medium diving, rattling crank bait in an aqua/yellow color. Unfortunately, I did not have a scale, but the fish measured between 21 and 22 inches.
I caught two more undersized on a silver rattle trap. It appeared they wanted aggressive, noisy lures, but the fish were not aggressive. The large one did NOT fight. In fact, the way I knew I had something was I could not hear/feel the rattles.
I did try various soft plastics (flukes, senko, Texas worm), but no takers. Hard jerk baits also did not work.

A healthy 21 inch fish should weigh 5.3 lbs, a 21.5 inch fish should weigh 5.7 lbs; and a 22 inch fish should weigh 6.2 lbs.
