This pond has a deep trench in the middle (9-11 feet) and has a lot of structure.  I tried several techniques:  wacky senko, TX senko, regular plastic worm, swim baits in various colors.  The only thing that worked, despite the relatively high winds was a yellow magic popper casting into the shoreline.   You can’t troll this pond because you’ll get snagged (I tried)...there’s too much structure. 

I have a feeling this pond will be very productive in the warmer months, fishing with seedless plasti worms.  The weeds were not bad (as previous reviews have noted), but it is early in the year.   

When I come back here again, I’ll anchor and cast plastic worms.  I’ll be back!

NOTE:  when driving in, come from highway 82, NOT highway 56!   The road from highway 56 is brutal!
