Got to the lake about 12:30 and fished to about 7:00.  The lake was muddy, about the color of choclate milk, guessing from the rain earlier in the week.  There was just no action on the lake at all.  Threw everything I could think of, but only one small bass on the lizard,and a small crappie on a beatle spin.  Late in the day the light breez let up and I tried my fly rod.  Got another small bass on the woolly bugger.  The lake looks like it has potential.  The shape of the lake gives you plenty of fishey looking spots, no problem with vegetation, but I just hit it on the wrong day.  On the other hand, this was my first time out this year and it gave me a chance to get organized.  Looking forward to a great spring!
