Got there expecting to see the usual stained East TX water but quickly realized an abundance of vegetation kept this lake crystal clear. The weather was bluebird sky's and the lake is surrounded by trees so there was almost no chop on the water. Fished with what I came rigged with no luck so  decided to throw a wacky worm to be a little more subtle in those conditions with the clear water. Started landing some fish here and there but once the light started fading I was able to switch it up and throw a little more variety. It got better as the day went on. I'll be returning to this lake.
