First time to fish Melody Acres.  Wife and I fished Sept 2 from 9am till about 1 pm and from 7 to 8;30. and Sept 3 in the am.  We landed 5 nice bass betweem 16 -18 inhes and 3 just under 15.  Missed quite a few (at least 10)  Could see many bass along the shoreline feeding on small baitfish/minnows etc throughout the day.  Utilzed plastic Grande Bass worms and also fished extensively with a fly rod with wooly buggers, and several types of poppers.  Only one fish caught with fly rod.
Utilized the small boat. Water level down 3 or 4 feet but still plenty left.  Fish we caught appeared very healthy.  We originally were only planning to stay one night but we enjoyed the scenery,solitude and the house so much we stayed an additional night.  The house was very
comfortable and Patti, the owner was extremely
gracious. The town of Crockett is about 6 miles away if you need a restautrant. A very nice place to fish and relax.
