I had a chance to fish the beautiful Dogleg ranch on April 1st and the fishing was no joke.  Lots of fish (mostly harvest fish) but plenty of larger bass to keep things interesting.  
morning started cool and clear with a temperature of 38 degrees.  It quickly warmed up and got a little breezy but the fishing stayed steady throughout the day.  
Best fishing was in the middle of the lake just tipping the top of the abundant grass. 
 

Wildlife were everywhere on the ranch with Elk and oryx frequently seen from the boat.  Lots of wild turkey and lots of big geese and ducks.  It was a great day to be outdoors with the high reaching 79 degrees and the winds steady and fishy.
