Hit the lake right at noon with blue skies and relatively clear water.  Lake level is higher than it was when I was there in the fall which makes for launching the club boat a breeze.  Water temp in the mid 60s.  Was hoping to have a nice calm day but wind picked up a bit by mid afternoon.  As a result, much easier to fish the fingers and shoreline across from the launch site.  While I saw lots of “fish” on the Garmin in the deeper water near the dam, never could get a bite.  Fish were hitting topwater but not interested in my frogs or chappo.  Plastics worked best along the weedline.  Not sure if it was my lure selection or just weather / wind but I would catch fish in two’s or three’s in a 30 minute burst and then nothing.  Overall, a relaxing afternoon with a couple of hours where I did all my “catching” and the rest of the time I practiced my casting and boat positioning.

NOTE:  Be careful of a large pothole on the trail down to the launch site.
