My wife, son, and I went to Hickory Creek, to target crappie. We got on the water around 12:00 pm and fished until 6:00 pm. The temperature was at 66 degrees. The 12 mph wind with gusts up to 20 mph made for a cooler day than expected. We started catching immediately and continued doing throughout the day. If you do not have an Ipilot on your trolling motor I would 100% suggest that you do yourself a favor and get it immediately. I have fished my whole life and fought trolling motors in high winds more than I can explain here. The Ipilot is a true game changer. It made the trip for sure. I could not have fished and maintained our boat position in the wind without the Spot Lock feature.
