The lake is at least 5 feet low. It’s still fishable and the surface growth will tell you more distinctly where the creek channel is located for sure. We had variable changing weather all weekend with approaching changing high winds, lightening, and what a relief, God sent rains that were sorely needed there.

We caught a fair amount of fish in the 1.5 to 3.5 pound range. Fish were scattered and no pattern developed at all. All but 1 fish were extremely healthy and full of fight. Numerous balls of bait fish were evident in the morning with fish attacking the bait balls well into the late morning. The fish have plenty to eat there for sure.

I hope to visit this location again. Hopefully, they will get some much needed rain before I return. The terrain here makes this place my favorite site for sure. I was a little disappointed no 5 plus pounders as I have always put some good fish in the boat here at WCR.
