Great day on Post Lake yet a little windy at times. Beautiful location on a very well kept ranch.  Lake has a small ‘pontoon’ boat with a trolling motor but no battery. Unknown if it works or you would need your own battery.  We lanched a 17 foot Ranger off the boat ramp (concrete). It is narrow and be careful as it drops off very quickly.  Boat went into water with ease and we only used Merc engine to load/unload the boat from the trailer.  We then used trolling motor the remainder of the day.

We used Cranks baits, buzz baits and plastics on Texas and Carolina rigs and never got a bite. We switched to some pllastic shad with hooks and used these all day with great results.  We would cast in open water and close to shore and get continually hits.   Total for the day was 41 fish!.  (This was over a 4-5 hr period.) 24 bass and 17 crappie.  4 bass were over 14 inches ranging between 15 and 20+ inches. Largest of the day weighed in at 3 lbs and 11 ounces.

Overall a great day and I will go back.

**** NOTE: Do not use Apple GPS/maps as it takes your to property gate and not ranch access gate listed in the directions.  Use the GPS coordinates or link PWF gives you in Google Maps and you will have no issues.
