Sping weather was bright at times, cloudy at times, sprinkles of rain in the afternoon; cool and glassy calm to start, then a welcome breeze and warm, some stiff gusts, changing direction and intensity all day.  Fishing reflected the weather – started slow, then improved, steady until lunchtime, a long midafternoon pause, then fast action before dying out in prime time. Caught fish predominantly in shallower parts and around shorelines.  Visibilty 6 to 12 inches with a heavy algae bloom in the morning.  Caught fish on all kinds of plastics but a good bunch preferred wacky rigged worm in the morning.  Many aggressive hits on chatterbait & frogs in late afternoon.

As usual had a good chat with Mr. Stanley.  The place is all greened up but the lake remains really low – need some good rain to fill it up!
