Fished two 1/2 day trips, 1 PM, 1 AM with member Cortney Coe. Wind conditions were tough during the entire trip. The water was extremely stained with poor visibility due to the wind conditions. Only 4 small fish caught. Water level was way down, but I believe the area probably received a couple of inches of rain after we left.

The road is very rough to get to the lake. A truck is definitely required. The terrain reminds me of San Saba as does the size of the lake. This lake deserves another visit under better weather and water conditions. We graphed 15 to 16 foot of water in areas. We did not see any bait fish to speak of though. Turkeys and an abundance of hogs are evident in the area.

Hope we slay them at Yates this weekend. We are past due for a good trip…. I think the weather is now going to be on our side. It was a long and hot summer.
