My son and I fished the lake Sunday morning, October 16, 20011.  The lake was fairly muddy from the rain a week ago.  But the trail down to the lake only had a few muddy spots on the road.  You definitely need an SUV, preferrably a smaller one to navigate the 1.7 mile drive once on the property.  We caught 26 fish of which 11 were harvested.  The 3 biggest bass caught were right at 5 lbs each and my son caught all 3.  The other 12 were mostly in the 1-2 lb range.  All the fish were caught on lipless crank baits.  Top water early in the morning and Texas rigged plastics later in the morning did not catch a fish.  A beautiful lake and very scenic area.
