Signal Ranch is a beautiful property and we had a successful outing despite the breeziness, chill and mist. We fished from shore and could fish nearly the whole pond without trouble (couldn’t reach the middle or the outside edges of reeds). We caught around 40 largemouth bass mostly on hollow-body frogs but also a few on a jig and spinnerbait. The fish were very shallow and were primarily 1.5 – 2.25 #s with 1 or two maybe touching 3 #s. My dad and I agreed we would absolutely go back to Signal Ranch and plan on fishing out of our kayaks next time.
