Fished Waterboo on Saturday solo from sunrise till about 4.  Was supposed to fish with fellow member Brett Stalcup and his buddy but Brett’s daughter’s high school graduation got moved up and some things you gotta do no matter how good the fishing might me.  Had a great morning (16 bass 2 bream) and a slower afternoon (4 bass and 1 bream).  Caught most of the bass in the flat close to the creek in the south end of the lake on deer hair poppers.  Caught bass along the edges and in the northwest corner of the lake as well mostly on top water poppers but a white and chartreuse clouser and black wooly bugger caught a few as well.  Even though I usually don’t catch big bass here this is one of my favorite lakes to fish in the club – it is just a beautiful drive from the hardtop to the lake and the lake is secluded and beautiful.  Great day.
