my fishing buddy Forest and i got to fish these 2 lakes that are new to the club. we fished on 3/25 and the owner , James, said we were the first members to fish the property. by the way James is a fine man and enjoyed talking to him. it was a windy clear day, right after a front came in and we still caught 45 bass that were strong and healthy. all the bass except for 2 dinks were in the 2-4 lb range, with one i lost at the boat that was 7-8 lbs. the 2 lakes are equally productive, and easy to fish and load boat. since there are no true trails to lead you to the lakes , James has tied red streamers to the trees as a path to follow. he said after a few people fish the place the trails should become more visable. steve and brian did a good job of adding twin lakes to the club. also the new web site is great, especially the gps coordinates. they took us right to the lake. keep up the good work, and get us more lakes like twin lakes. 2 pictures will be posted. happy fishing and hopefully good bye to the winter . I am glad you killed them. Catching 45 fish in a day, is an awesome day and something that 99% of public lake fisherman never get to experience. I fished a small club tournament on Davey Crockett Lake (public lake NE of Bonham) on Saturday for 9 hours and caught two fish. One of my fish was 4 lbs and won big fish for the whole tournament. It is harder and harder for me to spend time grinding to catch fish on a public lake. I have become spoiled fishing in private water.
