Father and I fished the property for approximately 5 hrs before the weather and an additional reservationon 5/21 pushed us out. This is a great facility and we’ll be back but the weather, water conditions, and our lack of skill prevented us from boating more fish.

High Points: The facility and equipment are fantastic, best I have experienced at the club. Ranch is easy to find and access is simple. Boats/batteries/motors are in exquisite condition.

Low Points: Rain fell steadily while we were visiting, from a light drizzle to a medium downpour. This was after week(s) of steady rain in the area so the water was muddy, visibility was limited to perhaps a foot but that’s being generous. We threw everything we knew to get the fish interested starting with whatever was captured in previous fishing reports and ending with some pretty wild combinations. Total of three fish were landed. Two on carolina rigged 6” watermelon lizards slowly trolled near points, feeders, aerators. One hooked near the East shore point and one North of the bridge on the West side of lake. Third landed using a Johnson silver minnow spoon with a white grub trailer between the same East shore point and the boat dock. We ran a host of other other baits that didn’t yield any action: chartreuse/white spinners, chartreuse/white chatters w/ & w/o trailers, Rat-L-Traps (various colors), swim baits (various colors) with and w/o skirts and/or blades, floating and swimming frogs (various colors).
