Malouf is like a local pond for me at this point, I know it pretty well. I had a feeling based on the past few weeks of weather and the last report that it was going to be questionable whether or not the drive on property was going to be possible. Maybe others would have attempted it. I walked down to the boat, checked the conditions, and decided my cart was going to be instrumental to fishing today. It was a little rough but made it possible.

Up until 10am, they were biting pretty much anything anywhere. Combination of the sun coming out and the wind picking up seemed to have turned the bite off around that time.

Largest bass picked up by the dam. Most everyone was around the 2lb mark with one or two dinks. Light color baits were used primarily. I did manage one topwater bite but missed it. Threw the frog for a while but no one else seemed to be interested.

Pulling the cart back uphill was a little tough but better than not fishing.
