I am a relatively new member, and one of the primary reasons I joined the club was to have the ability to go to places where my 10 year old son could catch some fish and get hooked on fishing.

We made our second trip to Deer Trail Sunday Nov. 6th, and this is exactly the type of property that I was looking for.
We fished for three hours in the morning, I kept the boat near the edge of the lily pads and my son kept a Wacky Rigged Senko bouncing around as I maneuvered the boat.  He caught 16 bass in three hours without really trying too hard and we had a great time.

Nothing gets a kid hooked like a tug on the line.  If you too have any children and are looking for a place that is guaranteed to produce, I would make sure you take a trip to Deer Trail.
