Beautiful sunny day at Waterloo Lake for my first visit. Morning session with whopper poppers and Devils Horse yielded 9 LMB with 2 culls, most in 2-3 pound range. 12-1.30pm with Texas rig watermelon and pumpkin worms yielded 4 LMB with 1 cull. 1.30-3pm switched to fly rod and green wooly bugger and then black caterpillar while exploring the meandering serene creek, which more importantly afforded shade and a cooler breeze. Docked for a few moments under a shady tree canopy and enjoyed some peanut butter crackers, pretzels w/Nutella and some ice cold Ozarka water. Possibly may have napped. Subsequently caught 3 bass with 2 culls while losing several more due to my slowing reflexes or the fish were smaller than the fly. A beautiful relaxing property which provided a terrific outing.
