Lures Used : Underspin, flukes, cranks, jigs, chatters, senkos, etc.

Partner and I fished the smaller lake until noon. Water was clear to 3-4 feet.  Surprised to catch a couple of striped bass (see photo), both at about 2.5 lbs.  Had another good one break off in the weeds.  Fluke underspin  and bluegill crank  did the damage.  Lmb’s caught on watermellon lizard and crawdad crank.  Nothing on chatterbait, senkos, jigs, and topwaters.  Went to larger lake after lunch.  It is chock full of weeds, although there are some lanes.  Quicly realized that trolling motor was no match for the wind and weeds and called it quits.  If it is windy, this lake is a challenge, unless you have a powerful trolling motor (with a weed guard),  heavy anchors, and fully charged battery.
