Fished with member Steven Scheller. Great day of fishing. Cloudy all day with a slight breeze from Southwest. Air temp in 70’s all day. Water temp somewhere in the 60’s. Water is Gin clear and lily pads have just about died back so you can bring your light spinning gear to have some real fun. Plenty of water to fish and they are very cooperative to being caught. We put in 8 hours and caught around 50 fish. Of that we harvested 10 that were 12 to 13 inches. The other 40 plus fish were all 2 to maybe 3.5 pounds. Steve caught one that was clearly 18 inches. We threw everything but the kitchen sink and the fish were gracious enough to whack it. All those dogs in your tackle box (human lures) they will work here. We had two periods were we didn’t have a fish on for maybe 15 or 20 minutes. Otherwise lots of doubles and constant action. If you want to have a great day book it now. The fish were fat and almost looked pre spawn. Saw a nice Buck at the water’s edge heading south. Geese, duck and herons abound.
Private Water Fishing you can be proud of the marked improvement in the size, weight and quality of fishing. Thanks for the early Christmas gift. Best summed up by Steven comment it was “his best fishing day ever”.

I forgot to add the top water bite started at 3PM on the west side.Used frogs as enticer. Also at the dam Steven caught at least 5 on 5 casts using what looked like a Rattling silver original rapala. It was a L & S lure. Ok now go out and have some fun.
