My fishing partner Vern and I arrived at Moonshine at 6:30 and fished until 3:00 with a break for lunch.  The bite from 7:00 till 9:00 was fantastic.  Most fish at that time of day were in tight next to the dam.  One strike on top water and nearly all other fish were on plastics.  Caught 2 on spinner baits.  The quality of fish was excellent.  All fish looked very healthy and most were chunks!  Fished timber in middle of lake a good part of the day and had some luck, but it was sporatic.  Tried lots of other lures, without much success.  Nice to catch 4.75 and 4.25 lb bass along with all the other nice solid fish.
