Typical summertime bite, no real pattern to it. We worked hard for the fish we caught; one here, one there. Usual places on the lake that typically hold fish were empty. Fish were in 10+’ of water when we did find some. While cleaning fish we found a crawfish that had just come from one of the bass. Wish i’d have seen that earlier as i had a craw on a slither rig tied on my flipping rod and never used it. DOH! There is no such thing as a bad day at Six O. Magnificent property and lake, and fishing is wonderful even when slow. The heat finally got us about 2, but we had a fantastic day on the water. We are so grateful to be able to fish this lake.
