Fished this site for the first time on 4/4 with my son.  Fished about 6 hours. The lake’s name says it all - loads of timber!Used one of the two V-hull aluminum boats on site with our trolling motor - although could easily paddle around this lake without a motor if not too windy.  Really liked that padded seats were availble for the V-hull boats. Started off great landing 7 fish in the first hour. The fishing stalled when the weather changed and it started to mist.  Fishing picked back up late in the morning and ended the day boating 17 strong healthy bass, most estimated in the 2-31/2 lb. range.  Lost at least another 8. All were caught in the timber either on black neon 6” lizards or chartreuse spinner baits.  This is a great site and one well worth the drive from Ft. Worth.

This lake is one of the biggest sleepers in the club. It is simply an awesome fishery. It is only 5 years old and will peak over the next 3-5 years. If you have not fished here, you are missing out!
