Fished on 12/31/11 and caught 9 really stocky bass and lost at least 4 at the boat, 2 of which looked like some big fellas. It is hard to launch a boat because the water is low, expecially when your alone. Deepest I logged was about 24 feet and has alot of bumps and some varying structure with two nice islands. I bet when they are spawning, a good place would be around the islands.

This is a very underrated lake. The lake has some big fish in it. After a year layoff form the club, we are tickled to hzve it back. In all fairness, the lake is not the most beautiful, but its proximity to Houston and the size of the water makes it a great value. I feel blessed to have it back in the club. Tony, if you catch a big one, please get a picture; would love to show our members. The owner had some friends who caught two double digit fish out of the big lake in October.
