What a fine day to go fishing in January. Arrived at the ranch around 8:30 AM. The water is another 2 foot lower than when I fished in mid October. Between the two of us we caught 24 Bass and harvested 8 that I gave to my barber. Free haircut next time I go in. The eight fish were all around 12 to 13 inches. The other 16 were from 15 to 18 inches but they are very thin. Not looking healthy like they normally did at this site. Did not see any remains of a fish kill but you can find a ton of fossils now with the water down. We used red and white spinner baits, plastics and a red rattletrap. Had a nice lunch on the dock and the bite slowed around 2:30 PM so we called it a day and loaded our gear into the truck. Could use a monsoon at this location.

As always thanks for harvesting. We will take a look at the thin fish to see what if anything can be done.
