Nice weather, 60 degrees, sunny, breezy at times. Didn’t catch many fish, probably about 8-10 in 5 hours with 2 people. Caught them on crankbaits. Water was about 2-3 foot visibility and probably about 55 degrees. Water is about 3-4 feet low. Fish just weren’t biting. Oh well, a great day on a beautiful lake.

The first time I fished this lake was in mid January two years ago. Two of us caught 3 fish in about 3 hours. Went back in mid March and caught 60 fish with two people in 5 hours. I can appreciate how the splow bite in the cold weather.

Looking for a good 2 to 3 inch rain today and tomorrow. This could bring the lake up a foot or two. Last I checked it was about 5 feet low. The east lakes damn was raised 2 feet over the summer. When full pool the lake should be over 20 acres as opposed to 17 acres as before. This assumes we get some rain. Keep the rain dances coming. I am praying. Hit my knees most every morning for rain and the opportunity to bless someone today.
