I fished Post Oak Saturday morning with new member, Tim Ferrigan.  We had a great morning and caught about 35 to 40 bass in just over 3 hours of fishing.  The conditions were overcast, with moderate winds and about 65 degrees air temp.  The fish ranged in size from 1 1/2 to 4 lbs, with many 2 1/2 and 3 pounders.  No dinks!  All were very healty fish and most were females with eggs.  The shallow flat area was the most productive location and our best baits were Pop R’s and buzzbaits.  We also caught about a half dozen near the dam on 10 inch Power Worms.

I was very impressed with the quality of the fish at this lake.  With the huge amount of rain we recieved today, the pattern will probably change, but this is a lake that is well worth the trip.

This was my 3rd time out.  First time as a member.  Great morning of fishing.  Like Tom said, most fish between 2 1/2 and 3 lbs.  Couple first for me: personal best 4.6 lbs and first time catching fish on a buzzbait.  It was awesome.  Like I said earlier, been on 3 outings, have caught fish on all 3 outings.  Hopefully there will be more to come.  Thanks PWF.

Didn’t get to use any this trip, as we were catching most evrything on topwaters.  Not complaining though.  It was quite a morning.  Thanks again for the Gremlin weights Phillip.  I will no doubt put them to good use in the near future.
