The barometer was against us we think.  A high-pressure system created a beautiful day, no clouds, cold in the morning, but the fish were not feeding.  This lake is oddly deep.  No luck on top waters early.  Mid-morning we resorted to deep water, fishing wacky worms excruciatingly slow on the bottom.  Finally landed a nice 4.5 lber to break the ice, followed by a 6.87 lber, both in 22’ of water.  We probably got lucky and dragged our worms right in front of them.  My partner had his rigged wacky-style, mine had a weighted-head hook that is supposed to make it stand up on the bottom.  We picked up two little ones near the dam over a brush pile on a deep-diving crankbait, and a couple more later in the afternoon on wacky worms.  We saw no feeding activity all day.  Found a large bait ball using electronics but nothing around it feeding.
