Fished 8-5 on 1/21/12 and had good day despite wind and a weak battery.  Harvested 18 bass under 14”.  About a third in the 12” range and several dinks.  Estimated weight around 10-12 lbs.  Released 6 over 14” from 2+ lbs with largest maybe 7+ and by the looks of her belly, loaded with eggs.  She was just off the dam dropping into deeper water and hit a deep diving crank bait.  Most of the other bass on a lipless crank in shallow water but they were willing to hit just about anything.  Also able to harvest 11 crappie from dock waiting on battery to charge.

Found a floater that would have gone 5-6.  When I got closer I noticed it had a 5-6 inch crappie stuck inside the mouth and actually into the gill cover.  Fins of crappie had dug into the soft parts of the mouth which probably kept it from going down or back out.

Like all the reports I have read this is a great place and looking forward ot going back.  Really surprised by the clarity of the water.  Should only get better when water level covers the brush piles.
