Fellow member John Shepard and I went to Butler Friday 12/10 and were not disappointed again. Very windy conditions did not seem to bother the fish as much as it bothered us but we managed. A 20 ft fiberglass boat makes a huge difference in a wind like that and a 36 volt trolling motor with “spotlock” even better. Water was 67-68 deg and visibility up to about 2 ft, nice pond green color. We fished the edges all the way around and found the west side and east side to be the best. We ended the day with 72 bass avg size around 3 lbs with 5.37 being the catch of the day and a couple in the 4 lb range, we culled 10. Best lures was flat sided shad colored crank bait and chartruese colored chatterbaits for moving baits, dropshot was the best for soft plastics.
