Fished the lake in the afternoon. Did not catch one fish. The front that came through yesterday afternoon and again last night might have had something to do with it. The lake level is full, with the deepest spots we found at 8-9 feet. The water was pretty muddy, as to be expected after a rain. There is a fair amount of grass in the lake. Made throwing crank baits difficult. Was also very windy.

I fished Beaver Lake Sunday, 2/5, with the same result. I think the cold front may have had an impact. It was also windy.

I would agree with Kit. I think the cold front and the muddy water (from all the recent rain) had an effect on the fishing. We have had a few other reports in the area that were slow as well this weekend. Beaver Lake has caught a lot of water, which is great news as we move toward the spring. I’d give that place another shot once the run off settles.
