Morning started cool and foggy with a breeze, greeted by deer in the field at daybreak and dozens of teal, but the fish decided to sleep late today - maybe too much March Madness.  Threw most everything in the tackle box but only caught 2 before a long lunch break,  Fortunately the bite improved in the warm afternoon with SP in shallow areas.  Most were 15-16” and all put up a good fight. Lake is full and still draining from recent rain, with visibility up to 3 ft.  

Thanks to Mr Stanley for making this place available to enjoy.  A good afternoon was topped off with fields of bluebonnets & paint brushes on Hwy 71.
