Visited Pecan Gap yesterday with my wife for a half day of fishing.  Weather was ideal, low humidity and calm winds.  Water temp was approaching 65 degrees. Fished hard with no takers except for a dink.  Saw alot of large fish on beds in the shallow part of the lake (SW) numerious good fish swimming close to the banks as well.  I can only assume that these fish are spawning and not interested in eating.  Had a nice conversation with the owner and he confirmed its been really slow.  He has turned off all the feeders to try and get the fish interested in biting.  We will be back because I see an opportunity for some really good topwater action in the coming months, for now, wait for the spawn to be over.
