My guest and I fished Lake Leon on Monday this week and while we were launching the boat I noticed a male bass on the bed just next to the dock. You could clearly see his perfect construction job of his 14 in. catchers mitt that he dug out of the weeds. While standing there I showed my guest and said watch this. I pitched a craw worm just past the his bed and brought it up to him and let it fall to the middle. He came right to it and looked at it. I twitched it and gulp! after releasing him he swam right back to his bed.
All day long we went from sandy spot to sandy spot. We caught a fish off of every one. They were right tight against the back behind the lilly pads. So it was a challenge to get them through the pads. We caught about 30-40 and lost 20.
Brian I kept 5 short fish 14” and shorter and gave them to Tom.

Also, I broke my sheer pin on a stump, and Tom loaned me one of his trolling motors to make the day, What a great guy!
