Launched the jonboat around 230 pm and I knew the winds were not going to behave. Water clarity was maybe 1’ and water temp was 67 degrees. We ended up throwing heavy fast moving baits. Could not throw plastics because of the wind gusts. The whole pond was open to the winds since there were no trees on the south end to protect it. We made the best of it but ended shutting down at 6 pm. Boat control got the best of me. We caught 26 bass up to 4# and culled 9 not including 1 black crappie. We caught them in 1-3 ft of water. The moss was still underneath the surface allowing us to work baits over and through with chatterbaits and rattletraps. I lost a few good ones probably 5-6#. Anyways, the property was beautifully manicured as always. Thank you Lake Side owner and PWF!
