Fished China Grove all day Saturday from 6am to 6pm.  Caught 22 Bass for the day. All Bass caught in the second pond.  Water clarity was three feet. All fish caught on watermelon colored 5” Yum shad except last fish of the day was caught on a red spinner bait and was 22 inches in length and she was very fat. I was ripping the spinner as fast as I could crank it. Also caught an 18 and a 20 incher. Healthy but not loaded with eggs. I put in some time fishing the 1st pond but did not get a bite all day. The 1st pond is off color with a muddy hue. No more duck weed on the 1st pond either. Fished a little for Blue Gill at lunch time and they are very cooperative. Plenty of them in both the 1st and 2nd ponds. Did not fish the third pond at all.  The water level is right to the top of the docks. I stayed in the Feed Store cabin which is very nice and comfortable. Bass were on the beds but most fish were caught 6 to 10 feet from the bank. Just a great day and plenty of exercise walking the banks. I will return with the grand kids for some blue gill fun.
