Had a great day fishing. Started throwing pop-r and buzz baits. switched over to spinner bait (white).  Things slowed around mid day and went to a Johnson Beetle spin with a quarter ounce jig with a charteuse grub about 2 inches long. Nailed about 10 Bass on this combination.  For the day caught 31 fish about 10 of them in the 3 pound range the rest around 2 pounds.  The lake is full and stained muddy. Clarity was less than two feet.  The geese are all sitting on eggs.  The bass have not only spawned out but the area around the dock was loaded with small pin heads and fry. Ran into 2 water snakes on the lake and a huge cotton mouth near the spill way. It was as thick as an upper arm. It made its way into the concrete rip rap. Got my attention as I ate my lunch. Great place to fish when you are alone or teaching someone how to fish.  Today I was alone.
