Fished Masagana on Tuesday from 10am-2:30pm and caught 14.  Water was clear, eel grass was abundant and lake was a few feet low.  I focused on shallow to deep water transition areas near eel grass.

Conditions were bluebird post front, water was still clear despite the influx of rain.  Steady wind but not too bad considering the last month.

There is a google earth snapshot from when the lake was low back in ‘12/’14 that gives you a good idea of where the lake was pulled back to the deeper/main lake water and I caught every fish on the edge of that ring.  I tried fishing a cove or 2 but wanted to work couple of specific patterns with a jig that I’ve been working on.  Maybe not optimal, but what I wanted to do.

I have been hand tying jigs lately and used those with some success – green with red/gold flake and brown with a red craw trailer – smaller sized jigs.
