Fished Jones Lake Sunday by myself from 7 am to 1:30 pm. The lake was full with visibility to 30”. The launch area is in great shape.  

Caught 18 bass with the largest at 4 ½ lbs a 3 ½ and two 3 lb bass. Only 3 were under 14” and they were close to that mark. Caught five right away on a white fluke and tx rig wat/red trick worm/chrt tail. After that I grabbed the fly rod and went after bream. I caught 12 very large ones on a yelow popping bug before breaking off and putting on an olive woolly. I would go back and forth between chasing bass and bream. 

Used plastics the entire time either weightless, 1/32 oz or 1/16 oz weights. I did try a tube bait and caught two on it. Also tried drop shot and got one bass and one crappie..Not a single thing on a wacky rig.. The bass were along the shore line or out around the trees. The vegetation is growing close to the surface in many areas and using a deep running crank bait would be difficult

Ended up with 18 bass. 36 large to huge bream and two crappie.
